EQAVET's annual network meetings are part of the Erasmus+ EQAVET NRP project, which is coordinated at the European level by the EQAVET Secretariat. The meeting brings together representatives of national reference points involved in the current cycle of the project with the aim to promote the results and current activities of network members and to present contemporary topics and challenges of EU area related to quality assurance in vocational education and training. Meetings of the EQAVET network are held in countries that have representatives in the network, and in 2024 Belgium was chosen as the host.

The meeting was held on June 13^th and 14^th in Brussels with a total of 80 participants. In addition to representatives of national reference points, the participants included representatives of the European Commission, EACEA, CEDEFOP and ETF. Through the participation of various European organizations operating in the field of vocational education and training, the participants gained insight into current European policies and challenges presented at the first part of the conference on June 13^th. In the second part of the conference, participants were divided into workshop groups with topics closely related to current challenges in the field of quality assurance, such as:

•     Ensuring the quality of education for democratic citizenship in vocational education and training
•     Ensuring the quality of micro-credentials
•     Quality assurance and higher VET
  

This was followed by a session on the topic of Peer review at the level of VET providers, moderated by a representative of the EQAVET network. The main goal was to collect the ideas, opinions and attitudes of the participants about peer assessment in order to create a basis for further research on the possibilities and advantages of this instrument in quality assurance.

On the second day, representatives of national reference points presented their work and the results of collegial assessments of their reference points (agencies). The closing speech was given by a representative of the EQAVET Secretariat, with whom he summarized the conclusions from the workshops and sessions and announced the next joint meeting of the EQAVET network in 2025 in Poland
